Grrr Bus Drivers.....

Bus drivers in london are all wankers, twats, bastards…whatever really!
Ok so maybe saying all is a wee bit unfair, I would say about 85-90% of bus drivers in London are just such douchebags! Anyone who is half a second…( no lie, I am deadly serious,) half a second late for a bus, the bus driver will just look the over way and then if he can ( coz usually they are just stuck in traffic) …drive away. Even if they are still in the bus lane, if the door is closed and they are in a shit-arse mood, they aint gonna open it!

So I get on the bus at Liverpool street and the bus lane is actually really freaking long, it can fit maybe 4 double deckers, right so when I first started using the route I use, I didn’t no this, so I would wait patiently for the right bus to come along down the bus lane in the queue. So imagine four big bus, they fill with people and then start moving on but my bus is the last in the queue at the back, so instead of running half way down the street ( slight exaggeration but only slight) to get on the bus, I wait until it can be like maybe second in the queue but low-and-behold waiting patient evidently gets you shit. The freaking bus just pulled away- EVEN WITH MY HAND STUCK OUT!!!! But I could do nothing but wait for the next bus which made me late L

Now you maybe laugh ( yes, seeing this can be at times quite funny) but some people dnt take it too well and kick the bus door, curse at the driver… throw a lil spastic fit, whatver really fit their mood.

One friend told me that around north London the bus drivers are the devil. This is because one guy would see a little ol’ man coming for the bus as fast as his little ol’ legs could carry him but the driver would just pull away…… noooooooooooo!!! Oh yes! So now I feel a little bit of happiness when you see someone run for the bus and get it just on time, coz some drivers do re-open the door but probably only coz they got laid the night before. It feels good to see it, as its like saying ‘Up yours’ to all the other bus driver wankers!

Fashion time

It’s my birthday party this wkend and I have been watching this Living TV reality gameshow called Party Wars! So its fuelled my fire tolook good and to have great party/time plus watching it makes me wanna party (just like watching Come Dine With Me ALWAYSSSSS makes me hungry).
Anyway I have become obsessed with online shopping but in particular my most favourite-est things in fashion right now ( it’s pure genius) is the style of jacquard/ baroque patterns – I love them soooo much…. feed them to me.

Life....

So I know a lot of people from all over the place - different cities, counties countries. So anyway it’s really interesting to see how different things are and how different people’s mentalities are. I mean I know ‘duh of course’ things are going to be different but you never really think about it unless you see proof. By proof I mean pictures ( of course I mean good ol’ FaceyB). So people I went to high school/ sixth form/ uni (so people from about 2001- present) are just living the life of a 20-something year old. You know, wherever they may be doing their thing but I look at people I went to junior and some of high school with in a different country and about 6 of those girls have little babies! They are more or less my age, so 22-24, which is still young… right?
Dnt get me wrong, I think it’s lovely (coz I loooooveee babies) but I just can’t imagine my life right now with a little mini me in tow! Maybe it’s coz financially I’m in the shitter but its weird and scary to think that one day I actually have to shape the life of a little human person!
One of the girls I went to sixth form with is also about 22 and has 2 baby boys and when I first heard it was like ‘OMG! she has babies at her age ’ ( I think my reaction was unfair )but yeah, it is cute to see, no lie! :D
Anyway I guess it might be because us women want to be young mothers… who knows- I plan to have my first at around 28 ….if things go according to plan, lol!

Hello people, so as I have mentioned before people try and look sharp and not dishevelled by putting the finishing touches to their face, shoes, hair etc on the train to work and I've heard and read some strange things that people do but this post isnt necessarily about that. Ok so it's about this woman who gets on my train, pretty much every day who has purple..... lol, purple what you say? shoes, hair, clothes? No, PURPLE EYEBROWS! No joke, well they are more like a mauve colour but I mean still c'mon! What they hell is that all about. I think any other woman would be like 'huh' but I think my fellow fashion blogger friend will be particularly mortified! To make matters worse she normally does her make-up on the train and enhances this very strange colour!

The Royals are engaged...FINALLY!!!!!!

Prince William and Kate Middleton are now engaged, he apparently popped the question last month on a holiday in Kenya but I think they have been engaged for ages!!!! maybe even months!
Anyway they are set to get married in the spring/ summer of 2011, not 2012 as some people have speculated.
I think its taken ages for this to happen ( they have been dating for 8 Years) because they have been grooming Kate to become a royal, not being of blue blooded birth an all that!
Also a royal is only allowed to marry someone who is a Protestant... I learned that courtesy of a British Citizen FB test, lol!!!

Always a bridesmaid never a bride!

Well my life is kinda the opposite at the moment… basically not to blow my own horn(tuut!) but I think I’ll crack the bride thing… at least once but for someone my, 22, I dnt seem to have cracked the bridesmaid thing, it’s not like I wanna be Jane Nichols ( 27 Dresses) but come on!
I have never been a bridesmaid!!!! This may shock some and some may think who gives a toss but what it means for me, is what it should mean for all bridesmaids. I should be loved enough to be ‘honoured’ with the task!!!!! …. No, wait, it should mean that someone who is getting married ( and all the jargon that goes with it) cares about you enough to want you to be by their side as they get married…. Or enslave you, whatever!
Maybe this is because I dnt go to that many weddings, in the past couple of years I have only been to 3 but to my friends who live in either the Mexican or Jordanian versions of the OC, there is an such an abundance of weddings that they are now so used to them. I think they go to at least 1-3 weddings every year!!! WTF!!!! Where are my bloody weddings.
People I have expressed my bridesmaid concern to ( 3 men actually) have said it’s coz of my age and all my friends haven’t started to do the whole wedding thing yet but once they start they wont stop… well I say BRING IT ON!
I love weddings ( not that I’m obsessed with trotting (yes, like a little piggy) down the aisle, I just like them. Like I like flying, like I like babies. I absolutely adore babies and just want to cuddle every single cute ‘Michelin Man’ baby I see but to have my own, I’d rather chew my own foot off….anyway Ill be off to a wedding in early November….excitement is an understatement!

Major Flashback! Dream (girl group)

Ok so I couldn't sleep last night and was watching something on Youtube when this ad for a new reality show popped up on the window. It was talking about some group called Lady Phoenix who used to be half of this 2000/2001 girl group( who signed with Diddy) who had the first #1 hit song as a video on Trl and they were called Dream. I was like 'huh'? So I youtubed them, with a little difficulty but then I found them and I was like, noooooooooooooo, get out!!! I remember them and that song... well the song more than anything!
So here ya'll go with some 2001 pop, that was at the start along side the whole Nsync, Backstreet Boys, 3LW, Britney, Christina Pop thing!

Ok so the other day I got on the train and see this cutie-pie little blonde 2/3 year old girl who got on with her dad and she was in a genuine state of happiness. I could tell coz she was shrieking in fits of laughter and then her dad pulled faces and tickled her and well she was truly one of the happiest kids I’d ever seen.
So anyway her dad( I know coz she asked her dad for a kiss… too cute!) picked her up from the push-chair and sat her in a seat next to him and then took out a plastic bag and it’s full of plums, you know the organic/market kind. So she starts munching on it while being a train-spotter then her dad asked her where she put the plum pip, she just looked up at him, smiled and then she said, 'I swallowed it!' Lol!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! I was just in hesterics, she wasn’t hurt or alarmed or anything like that, she simply smiled!

So the train journey continued and she just kept eating and eating and there’s me thinking this kid is gonna get diarrhoea (coz that’s what my mum told me if you eat too much fruit and she was only little.) Why is her dad spoiling her so much? He kept saying, 'This is the last one no more,' and then she'd pull the typical ‘daddy’s little girl puppy dog eyes’ and he’d just cave!

Anyway he then said that they were coming to the next stop, so he picked her up and put her back in the push-chair and then the train stopped and the doors opened and he handed the push-chair over to this woman, presumably her mother and the poor little girl just started to ball her little eyes out. She was crying and screaming for her daddy and all he could do was say, 'It’s ok, dnt worry daddy loves you!' It was so sad that it made people in the immediate train area feel awkward, in a sad way for him coz the child was obviously distressed and not wanting to be away from her father. . .

Barghhhh, it was so heartbreaking but what else could he do! I suppose people’s family life is really like this.
It’s a sad ending for a cute happy story!

Food Fashion

So just as fashion has its seasons,(Spring 2011 trends are currently making NY crazy with fashion week), so does my mind, tummy and taste buds!
So me, I love my food and I mean I love all kinds of food and drink except for kiwis & coca cola ( which is utterly GROSS!!!! So anything with this flavouring, sweets, smells, drinks etc is out, including Pepsi….ick!). I dnt really like oranges or mushrooms or bananas but if I’m having a ‘meh’ moment or they are placed in front of me, I’ll eat them.
Anyway I have realised that I go through these random food cravings aka my food fashion moments - which start sporadically as they end. So they can last for days or weeks then just stop and then I dnt really think about the food anymore, whereas when addicted to the food, I think about it non stop ( well, when thinking of something I fancy eating.)
So firstly, I loved these massive brownies from the vintage clothing store down the road called Paper Dress. Then there was the chicken crystal roll from the Japanese Canteen just shortly before writing this, there was The Penn State cheese ‘n’ chive pretzels and now I’m hooked on Pret’s double cheese and onion skinny popcorn, bargh!!!!!
Also I dnt really eat a lot of chocolate but when I do, it’s been the same one . . . Drifter! Do you reckon this is coz I dnt like change unless I think I’ve found something better or that I just like the taste of it so much I eat shit loads and then get sick of it????
Hmmmmm..
I think it’s probably the latter you know.

Anyway one food I will never tire of are the Hummingbird Bakery red velvet cupcakes, they are my fave, I go mad for them and they will never go out of my food fashion, it's my LBD

Tron - random 80's movies

Ok so if you love the 80’s like I do, you like to listen to 80’s music and watch 80’s films. So I saw that I would give ‘Tron’(1982) and seeing that ‘Tron Legacy’ (Dec 17th 2010) is coming out sometime soon, I thought I’d watch the first movie.
So I started watching it and I was like ‘huh?’ I felt that I had come into a movie about 20/25 minutes into it . . . t had only been about 3 minutes, I swear!!!!!
I was so confused! I eventually got the gist of the movie but it was so arcade game-esk, with lights and suites, it was real old skool sci-fi orientated! It was BRILLIANT!!!!!
You know how if you watch the original ‘King Kong’ from the 1930’s and see how the monsters are like ‘arghhhh – ugg,’ this movie was the same, like that sort of let’s invent sci-fi stuff and make it a movie. Technology wise it’s just like the ‘King Kong’ – catch my drift?????
The first trailer I’ve added is the original ‘Tron’ movie and its at the top and the second one is for ‘Tron Legacy’at the bottom!
I see the difference and I'm like 'my...my' how the world and technology has changed!!!!

A 'real' celebrity

OK so many people think that a real ‘celeb’ is someone who shops on the high-street and likes to eat salads from Prêt and well, I dnt know ‘mingle’ with commoners but let me tell you! A person who should be given the title of a ‘real’ celeb is someone like James Khan or Mark Strong who even though they have amassed millions and are very successful (one a private equity investor + a Dragon and the other is very successful English actor) they still use normal and very public transport. This comes without the ‘who-ha!’ and the paparazzi and the show (I’m guessing this is probably down to the fact that paparazzi dnt expect famous people to travel publicly without a fuss or a tip-off). James Khan was spotted by my brother on a train from Manchester to London sitting in a normal carriage, not even first class!!!!! Mark Strong, travelling with his wife and his two little boys on a BA flight (no first class just executive class where there was a girl with a broken leg) from Rome, Italy to London, in the same economy flight as pretty much me and everyone else was sat!!!!! Brilliant!

It such a great way to create unity, make new friends and well, eat chocolate while having some fun exercise! So now I'm LOVING it tooooo :D
Also in light of Cadbury's sponsoring the Olympics/ Para-Olympics, it reminds me that yesterday while on the tube, I saw an ad talking about volunteering to work during the games, all I can say it that I'M DOING IT( I’ll let you know more about the site and info later when I volunteer!) Can you imagine all the people, the competitors, it'll be crazy and it would be the first games that I would actually attend!! That excites me! yay!

Chat-up Lines cont...

Ok so the reason I thought of writing about chat-up lines is because I remembered one that had happened to me and rather than being repulsed or pissed off, I was simply confused, yes, thats right CONFUSED!! And here’s why…..
I was out once with some friends, looking all cute as you do when you go out and I was by the bar, I’d just bought a drink and while waiting for a friend to come back from the loo, I notice this guy. He was smiling and trying to make eye-contact but I tried to evade his glare but so as not to be rude I half-heartedly smiled and looked away (no eye contact tho) …. He didn’t get the drift and came over, stood in front of me, smiled, stuck his hand in his drink, took out an ice cube and proceeded to lob it at the floor breaking it into small ice pieces….. ‘I’ve broken the ICE, so now we’re free to talk!!!!!!!’ All I said was…’Wow, that is literal!’ And walked off!

Sales + Shoppin

OK so I’m obsessed with clothes and shopping! It can either be online (ASOS + Fashion Union are the common outlets for my madness) or going, going shopping.
I mean, I could indeed list all of my favourite shops but rather than do that, I shall name a few and then point out whyyyyyyy I love the shop.... oh and what I last bought from there........
so much fun :D
1.This has to be ZARA!!!! I love this shop because it’s so European chic (Zara Woman) but playful (TFL) at the same time. For example, I bought a floaty waist skirt but I also bought a really cool pattern tee. One of my friends bought a David Bowie tee(she didn’t want the Ziggy Stardust one coz she’s a real fan) from the men’s section and it looks great! They also have an amazing selection, when the season calls for it, of trench-coats and macs! So every time I enter a Zara shop about 95% of the time I will buy something.
2. It’s DP (Dorothy Perkins) of course. Now I love this shop because they have an amazing denim section. I think this because I have odd shaped legs (quite muscley thighs with skinny ankles) so they kinda cater for the English version of an ‘Apple Bottom’ :D
The shoes are also affordable, not too wear-and-tear and never look cheap! About a couple of months ago I bought some really cute cut-out purple platforms for about £35, they are uber comfy and still look great.
Also the store tends have a sale every 3 months or so, so you can literally go nuts….Ive done it, this is acceptable.
3. Now this one is a new one for me and it’s New Look. Now it did step into the realm of cheap shit that no one wanted but New Look’s comeback is ma-hooosive. They have nice affordable (maybe sometimes cheap) clothes with even cheaper shoes. Its like an up-market version of Primark. It would be good if you were in tight squeeze for an outfit, so e.g. when trying to find something different to wear for a night out, i.e. Dresses, shorts, shirts and shoes (whatever you wear out) you can find it quickly.
4.H&M (or Hennies(spelling???) if your from Canadia) I like this shop coz it’s a mixture of boho/indie + chic/scruffy…..nuff said.
5. Primani… dah!!! I dnt think I need to explain this, other than the fact that the clothes are cheap so dnt expect longevity!.

Sometimes, I look at men and think ‘My God, I just wanna slap you in the face!’
So I was on the train this morning and this typical chubby beer-gut of an English man sits next to me ( yes, indeed I do know this is England, I shouldn’t have been perturbed but I just freakin’ was) All I see is this man sit down and then flip straight to the sports pages of the Metro and well my blood just boiled!!! I was like that’s all you want to read/ look at pictures of!!! All I could see was a foolish looking Lampard (maybe Gerrard) on a bike looking like a t**t. This is why people are stupid!

It’s coz this lady is what you’d call Euro Class. She’s a beauty and she knows it, she likes the classy expensive stuff, so no cute dates talking a walk down the pier!!! No way, this type of woman, the Euro Class is high maintenance and unless you’re Clooney himself, like a challenge or don’t mind getting kneed then stay far away.
Next you and your mates go out for drinks to a bar and then you come across this super cute chick, she’s by the bar, nervously playing with her hair and smiling.... stop... what is she doing? If she’s simply texting on her phone or patiently waiting at the bar while chatting to one of her girlfriends then she could actually be your typical girl-next-door. Confused? Well you shouldn’t be, the Bunny Boiler is always very composed, super sexy not geeky or cute and always always confident, never shy! She’ll be the one sat in a sexy little black dress, smouldering gaze and a glass of champagne in her hand waiting for her next prey like the Black Widow. If you do have the balls to approach her, be warned things may not be so pretty afterwards.
So its lunch time on a Saturday and your talking your dog/friend’s baby (definitely a good number closing prop!) for a walk and you clock a hottie. You’re just about ready to muster up the courage and go in for the number close when she comes in first. The convo is going great, you know the, ‘Hi how are you? Great! Is that your dog? Yep his name is...uh?’ You’ve just had to stop because your target is sobbing!?!?! She’s busy mumbling about her dog Toto that died . . . hit by a car? What? This far too emotive target is classed as an Over Emo. Now this has nothing to do with black make-up or Goths, your target is a very sensitive emotional person and needs constant reassurance, love, care and attention. It’s almost like looking after a five yr old, so unless you’re ready with a box of Kleenex instead getting your phone – steer clear of this one.

Ok so I graduated a year today and it was well.... memorable for the good and bad. Anyway this week my uni are holding this year’s graduation ceremonies and someone I work with, went to his brother’s one yesterday at my old uni! Who knows maybe I met/saw/ bumped into his brother (probably not, but it’s nice to think that you we can all be linked – lol – like those crappy celeb diagrams in magazines, that join whose dated who, with whose made a film with who) I think that that’s kinda cool.

Barber Shop

I was on my way to work this morning and I was on a bus and the bus stopped at a traffic light and I was just looking around and I notice this barber shop – this guy has just gotten up and then taken his shirt off and I was like ‘huh? but hmmmm!’ and then the barber proceeded to shave….. yes shave, this shirtless guy’s chest… is this the done thing??? I thought like women, men either did this in the sanctuary of their bathroom or at a salon? So I am now waiting for proof that this guy was not a one-off weirdo/exhibitionist (as his body was quite nice but the shaving thing just flat-out trumped that fact) …… so please lemme know!

Being someone's MUSE!!!!

Ok so a few weeks ago I was out in Soho Square with friends at the Edge bar right on the corner and we were laughing and talking and just generally having a good time. So there's us talking about our lives and being older as well as 'being an adult' (we're all in denial about it!) and I was talking about being a journalist and writing and how I felt really inspired to 'grab life by the balls'when i noticed this drunk guy. So he comes up to me and starts talking really and I mean really close to my face (all up in my George Foreman basically) and he told me how he'd heard me talking( if you know me this will come as no surprise, I'm one loud bitch!) So yeah he told me that I had inspired him in the 'heat-of-the-moment' (at this point I was well freeked!!!!) but I was gracious (you neva know who is gonna be a nutter, so always be nice!!!) Anyway short story short he wrote me this poem, I shit you not this is what he wrote (with pen and paper and everything...)

UPDATE!!!!
This is more to do with ex-Bachelor Jake Pavelka!!!!! He is DONE WITH Vienna!!!! He says she cheated and she says he's a fame hungry lying whore!!!!!! Oh poor Vienna Girardi - guess Ali was completely right when she said that Jake was making a mistaking keeping her in!
It would seem that Ali's own 'Vienna' aka Justin 'Rated R' turned out to be a DIRTY CHEATING RAT!!!!! Ali handled herself brilliantly and kicked him out with poise and self-respect!!! Woop Woop for Ali!!!
