BBF aka Britain's Big Freeze

Yes, indeed it has struck, so early on in the year too....
It is the apocalypse, has the world ended... nope, the snow has arrived.

It causes chaos, nightmares and well funny slips but yep we've been hit by the big white out and guess what... it's fucking beautiful! I love me some snow. So folks, get the fuck over it, dnt wanna drive, then dnt. Dnt wanna play football or travel... then dnt.

Also just in case this was a fact that you might have missed - all news, be it sport, frontline/war news, your local news, highway news, HEADLINES.... it's all about the snow.....

We live in England, no...? Why is snow the devil? lol
Well it's not my devil, I likey a lot... I need to go take a shit now, shame it won't come looking like snow...hmmm

Ok so I found these cutie-pies dancing to Bruno Mars. They are youtube hits already and I think there is a snipet of them in the ad for that dancing game thingy for the wii or kinect thingy so anyway enjoy :)

With having a low income job, travelling abroad for work, being low on mular, having 2 of my close friends get engaged, engage in numerous fun activities and well being me - I can't say I'm sad to be saying goodbye to 2011.

It wasn't a good year but it weren't all bad either - I'm just looking forward to something new.

I love it when poignant music is used in TV series/ trailers/ advert/ movies. It reminds me of the old and the new....

Revenge

So as I just mentioned there is a new TV series called Revenge. It stars Madeleine Stowe as Victoria Grayson “Queen Victoria", Emily VanCamp as Emily Thorne, Nick Wechsler (Kyle from Roswell) as Jack Porter, Connor Paolo (Eric from Gossip Girl) as Declan Porter and Joshua Bowman as Daniel Grayson.

It is set in The Hamptons and it's full of money, deceit, lies, love, lust, parties, boats, and all things good. The story line is quite enthralling as you want to know who the next target is and why they are even the target.

So anyway here is a proper synopsis of the show but click on the title for the wiki page:
"Wealth, beauty and status define the people in this town, but one woman is willing to destroy everyone for the sake of revenge. The Hamptons were once Emily Thorne's old neighborhood, until something bad happened that ruined her family and their reputation. Amazing new artist.

Ok so I am loving this new TV show called Revenge, it's just so new and good. It's based loosely on The Count of Monte Cristo which is a story I love. So anyway this new artist has been used in at least 2 eps out of 4 and at least 3 of her song were used. So my favourite one is called Riverside and the artist's name is Agnes Obel, she's Danish ( which I take as a sign as my brother has just moved to Denmark for 3 months)
Her voice is so mellow and beautiful and this song reminds me of a time when I was a teenager - younger carefree times. It just makes me smile.

The Fades on BBC

I am loving this new original BBC fantasy horror 6-part series called The Fades (so no, not the band!) It's like Misfits but less for the teenager. It's dark with a sense of excitement yet it's rather foreboding!

It's about Paul who is an awkward teenager who had weird nasty dreams which he thinks are not real. Turns out he's wrong and they are and he can see The Fades!!!

The Fades are dead, upset and vengeful souls who haven't 'ascended up' - they couldn't find an opening and their lights get extinguished and are therefore stuck on earth forever hence the hating being here part! The show includes Paul’s sci-fi loving best mate Mac, his bitchy twin sister Anna, his odd outcast mentor Neil and a rather dead Sarah.....

The reason I liked this pilot is because it didn’t leave you hanging, too much - I mean there are a few things that weren't answered but that's just part of the mystic and intrigue of it all. It was funny in parts and a bit thrilling in others – they even show you the ‘monster’ up close and personal!!!

Anyway, I can't help but compare this to Outcasts (that BBC show about a colony of humans who live on a planet called Carpathia but there are weird clones that live on the other side!?!?!? No???) The problem with this was there was never enough explanation about what was going on, the characters were somewhat likeable but no enough for you to really feel for them and well it was cancelled before the whole plot was explained – boooo!

Anyway I’m sure as hell will be watching the 2nd episode!

Boris Bikes!

So I find it quite theraputic to have a Boris Bike ( lol - they are actually called Barclays Cycle Hire... noone knows that!) ride in a park when I'm feeling low - My fave spot is Hyde Park :)

My new fave designer is ... Elie Saab

Hello hello, so I have fallen in love with Elie Saab who is a Lebanese Haute Couture designer and I just love his bridal collection ( maybe not as much as the Marchesa one) but I just love the fun, flirty way he designs his clothes. I mean awesome people like Emily Blunt wear his clothes to events like the 2011 Primetime Emmys last night so anyway love it an much as meeee :)
